Travel Documents

Passport and Visa

Obtaining the appropriate travel documents is always your own responsibility.

We know that getting visa can be a very complicated process, especially when you are arranging group travel.

We are proud to have a preferred partnership with CIBT visas who can help you with this task.

 You can

  • Use their website to find out if you need a visa, and what the requirements are for your passport.
  • Next you can order the visa by yourself through the embassy or consulate of your destination country
  • If CIBT has a local office in your country you can request them to assist in the procedure to get your visa as fast as possible.

CIBT has offices in the following countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom and the USA. Go to the website CIBT visas and click the flag of your country.

Even if your country is not in the list you can use the CIBT website to  help with your visa needs. CIBT is maintaining a proprietary database that has the most up-to-date travel visa requirements for over 200 countries.

Other Travel Tools:

Travel to the USA; ESTA:

If you fly to or via the USA, you will need to check if you need an Electronic Travel Authorization ('ESTA'). This is not necessary if you have a US visa (or if you are a US citizen, of course).

An ESTA allows you to stay in the US under the Visa Waiver program for up to 90 days and allows travel to Mexico, Canada and the Caribbean. An ESTA is valid for two years, (or less if your passport expires in that time). For more information and authorization requests please visit the ESTA website

Travel to Canada; ETA

If you fly to or via Canada you will need to check if you need an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA). Exceptions include U.S. citizens and travelers with a valid visa (and Canadian citizens of course).

For more information and authorization requests please visit the ETA website

APIS

APIS stands for Advanced Passenger Information System

On specific routes the airlines are required to provide details about their passengers before they travel. This is a mandatory requirement and passengers who do not provide this information well in time before departure could be denied boarding at the airport.

Currently, APIS data needs to be provided for passengers  traveling to or in transit to the following countries: USA, Canada, Mexico, China (except HKG), Japan, United Arab Emirates, Thailand, South Africa, Spain, Pakistan, Jamaica, Kenya, Algeria, Iran, Syria, Morocco.

This list is subject to change so SIAMA has decided to add the APIS information in all reservations we make, to avoid any problems. We need this information a week prior to departure at the latest, but the sooner the better!

We need the following information:

Passenger(s) details (as they appear in the passport);

  • last (family) name
  • All given names. For security reasons names must be exactly the same as in your passport
  • Date of birth (dd/mm/yyyy)
  • Gender (M/F)
  • Nationality
  • Passport number
  • Passport expiry date
  • Passport country of issue

NOTE: For customers' traveling to or transiting the USA, we will also require:

  • Country of residence
  • City of residence
  • The address of your first night's accommodation in the USA including full postal/ZIP code

The information is entered directly into the airline reservation system.  The airline will pass  this data on directly to the relevant immigration authorities before the flight departs.

SIAMA World Mission Travel is not responsible for the failure of a traveler to comply international travel requirements and/or the ability to secure the proper travel documents before traveling.
